The Sinclair Offshore Wind Farm is being developed by the BlueFloat Energy | Nadara Partnership as part of Crown Estate Scotland’s INTOG leasing round.
The project will combine innovative technology with a plan to attract and grow a skilled Scottish workforce and stimulate a thriving local supply chain while helping to reach Scotland’s net zero targets and improving our energy security.
Indicative Project Timeline
Using floating technology in water depths up to 110 metres, the Sinclair Offshore Wind Farm will be located 58 km north of Fraserburgh and have an installed capacity of up to 99.5 MW.
We believe in sharing the benefits of the green energy transformation with the communities where we operate.
A key element of our Scottish floating offshore wind projects is the development of a community ownership model, governed independently, and directed by the communities in which the projects will operate.
The model could create a blueprint, shaping the future of community benefit from floating offshore wind projects throughout the whole of Scotland. This builds on Nadara’s successful track record of deploying similar schemes for a number of its onshore wind farms in Scotland.
