Both the Sinclair and Scaraben Offshore Wind Farms were successful in the INTOG (Innovation and Targeted Oil & Gas) leasing round, aimed at attracting investment in innovative offshore wind projects in Scottish waters, as well as helping decarbonise North Sea operations. Each with a capacity of 99.5 MW and located 58 km north of Fraserburgh, adjacent to the Broadshore Offshore Wind Farm.

Each with a capacity of 99.5 MW and located 58 km north of Fraserburgh, adjacent to the Broadshore Offshore Wind Farm.

Using floating technology in water depths up to 100 metres, the Broadshore Offshore Wind Farm will be located 47 km north of Fraserburgh with an installed capacity of up to 900 MW. Enough to power the equivalent of over 850,000 homes.

Using floating technology in water depths of up to 105 metres, the Bellrock Offshore Wind Farm will be located 120 km east of Stonehaven and have an installed capacity of up to 1.2 GW. Enough to power the equivalent of over 1.1 million homes.

Stromar is a floating offshore wind farm development located 50 km east of Caithness in northern Scotland. With the potential to generate up to 1.5 GW of renewable energy, it could be one of the world’s largest floating offshore wind farms. That’s enough clean, green energy to power close to *1.5 million homes.
